Urinary Pathology
Urinary Pathology: IHC is widely used in urinary pathology to diagnose cancers of the bladder, kidney, and prostate. Markers like PSA (prostate-specific antigen), uroplakin, and p63 help differentiate between benign and malignant lesions, as well as identifying the origin of metastatic tumors.
IHC with antibody [6400] : Human bladder urothelial carcinoma stained with anti-uroplakin antibody using peroxidase-conjugate and DAB chromogen. Note the cytoplasmic staining of tumor cells.
IHC with antibody [6017] : Human prostate carcinoma stained anti-AMACR antibody using peroxidase-conjugate and DAB chromogen. Note cytoplasmic and luminal circumferential staining of carcinoma glands.
IHC with antibody [6018] : Human prostate carcinoma stained anti-AMACR and anti-p63 antibodies using peroxidase-conjugate and DAB chromogen. Note cytoplasmic and luminal circumferential staining of carcinoma glands with AMACR and basal cell nuclear staining with p63.
