Rabbit antibodies

Using rabbit antibodies in research offers several advantages. Firstly, rabbits have a well-developed immune system, which results in the production of high-affinity antibodies with excellent specificity. This high specificity allows rabbit antibodies to accurately target and bind to the desired antigen, minimizing cross-reactivity with unrelated molecules. Rabbit antibodies also have a greater diversity of antigen recognition sites, increasing the chances of successful binding to different epitopes on the target protein. Rabbit antibodies are also highly versatile and can be used in various applications, including immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, Western blotting, and immunoprecipitation. Moreover, rabbits can be immunized with a broad range of antigens, including self-antigens, making them suitable for generating antibodies against highly conserved or structurally complex proteins.
