Maltose binding protein (MBP)
[Myelin Basic Protein (MBP) as a Tag]: In addition to its biological role, MBP is often used as a fusion tag in recombinant protein expression. The MBP tag enhances solubility and proper folding of target proteins in bacterial and eukaryotic expression systems. MBP-tagged proteins can also be efficiently purified using amylose affinity chromatography, making MBP a versatile tool for protein production, structural studies, and functional assays.
WB with antibody [6906] : 1:2000 (0.5µg/mL) Ab dilution probed against purified MBP: 50ng (1), 24ng (2), 12ng (3), 6ng (4), and 3ng (5).
